It's time to make networking and self-promos stress-free
I'm excited to build community in these ways!
Hi hi!
As you may have heard — and as I’ve found — networking and building community are two crucial steps to getting freelance wins. Whether it’s hearing about a new (well-paying) publication to pitch, finding an editor’s email, asking for advice, etc, you have to know people.
But is it just me, or are words like “networking” incredibly stressful? Like c’mon, I have social anxiety! I’m busy! No thank you!
So, I’m all for finding easier ways to connect. (*drumroll*) It’s announcement time!

Current and future paid subscribers will now get…
1. Access to an exclusive Slack group
Channels include encouragement, introductions, pitching, questions, skill development, weekly discussion, and wins. (Possibly more to come if I think of them or you suggest them!)
AKA, you ask questions, share your newsletters, etc to a group of freelance writers, all in seconds.
My goal is to respond to everyone ASAP!
I’ve heard this is one of the most helpful resources for freelance writers, and I have to agree!
Whether you already have the app or want to access the Slack community online, it doesn’t hurt to try it out, amirite?!
2. An opportunity to promote yourself to my 1300+ subscribers!
You’ll get access to a Google form in which you can share links to your social media, newsletters, Ko-Fi pages, Medium pages, etc!
The link to the Google spreadsheet with everyone’s responses will be shared in every monthly newsletter.
AKA, more subscribers, clients, readers, followers, connections, etc! Everybody wins.
…and the price isn’t going up. It’s the same as it’s always been ($5/month or $40/year) with these two new pieces!
The aforementioned links are pasted below for paid subscribers. That section will be in every newsletter moving forward.
Hit me up with questions! My email is ashleybroadwater346@gmail.com :)
