I want to share some “shower thoughts” — literally.

I noticed I get a lot of story ideas when I’m in the shower or driving, when I have nothing to do but a) what I’m doing and b) think.

Then I realized I sometimes feel guilty for “wasting” time when I’m doing that kind of thing, like driving to a coffee shop in the next town over to work or choosing to shower before I work.

But the thing is, those times are key as far as naturally brainstorming writing ideas or lines I really like.

This is to say that “wasted” time isn’t always wasted, so do what you need to do! (And for the record, if you do waste time sometimes, that’s okay, too! You’re not alone, and you’re human. We’re not meant to be productive 24/7 or anywhere close to that.) :)
